About this role

This role provides oversight of executive protection teams and activities within a specific geographic region. It ensures the health, safety, and physical security of all attendees at Bank of America sponsored or hosted events. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing security plans and protocols.

The Major Events Security Manager creates a safe and secure business environment through professional delivery of physical security services for senior management, employees, clients, and guests at bank or third-party events worldwide. Responsibilities include managing projects and assessments, performing detailed security surveys in advance, and analyzing potential threats across multiple platforms.

Maintains close working relationships with lines of business, Intelligence, Executive Protection, Protective Services, event planners, local law enforcement, and venue partners. Must identify and react to security situations 24/7 during events. Works directly with cross-functional teams to deliver threat analysis.

Requires extensive hours on feet, typically 14-15 hours per day for consecutive days at conferences. Capable of responding to medical situations as first on scene, performing first responder duties, and managing ongoing incidents, investigations, or priorities amid event oversight.

  • Experience overseeing executive protection teams and activities
  • Ability to develop and implement security plans and protocols for major events
  • Proficiency in threat analysis across various platforms with cross-functional teams
  • Capable of extensive hours on feet, 14-15 hours per day for consecutive days
  • Prepared to respond to medical situations and perform first responder duties
  • Skilled in managing ongoing incidents, medical conditions, and event investigations
  • Ability to recognize priorities and handle security situations 24/7
  • Experience conducting security surveys and vetting procedures for event guests

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive security plans for each event, including risk assessments, security staffing requirements, and emergency response strategies
  • Manage the health, safety, and physical security of all attendees at Bank of America sponsored or hosted events
  • Perform detailed security surveys for event locations in advance, making necessary contacts and arrangements
  • Analyze and identify potential threats through monitoring and analysis of multiple platforms
  • Direct activities to ensure safety and security of senior management team and bank events
  • Select, train, and supervise security personnel
  • Work closely with event planners, local law enforcement, and venue partners
  • Identify and react to security situations 24/7, manage incidents, medical conditions, and investigations during events
