The Site Security Manager implements, manages, and maintains physical and personnel security programs per company policies and federal standards.
This role ensures protection of personnel, assets, and sensitive information across facility operations. Responsibilities include developing security procedures, overseeing access control systems, and coordinating training programs. The position demands strong knowledge of government protocols in regulated environments.
Daily work involves vulnerability assessments, compliance with DOE, NRC, and DOD requirements, and collaboration with internal stakeholders. Oversee physical measures like perimeter control and surveillance, while managing personnel security including background checks. Interface with regulatory agencies and law enforcement as needed.
Former military or government service experience is highly valued in this high-security nuclear setting. Lead incident investigations and maintain emergency response protocols, including after-hours support. Contribute to secure facility operations in a mission-critical industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of government security protocols
- Experience in regulated or high-security environments
- Knowledge of DOE, NRC, and DOD security requirements
- Former military or government service experience highly valued
- Ability to conduct vulnerability assessments and manage access control systems
- Experience interfacing with regulatory agencies and law enforcement
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain facility security programs in compliance with federal and company regulations
- Establish and manage access control policies, visitor procedures, and badging systems
- Oversee physical security measures including perimeter control, surveillance systems, and alarm response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement corrective actions to maintain compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable DOE, NRC, and DOD security requirements
- Oversee personnel security program, including background checks, clearance processing, and access authorization
- Lead investigations into security incidents and violations; coordinate with authorities
- Provide training and guidance to employees on security policies, procedures, and best practices
