About this role

Work in a fast-paced, safety-obsessed aviation environment as an Aircraft Security Guard. Maintain positive control of the aircraft at all times and ensure the safety of air crew members and cargo. Alliance Ground International provides ground handling services to over 100 airlines across 61 airports.

Monitor aircraft entrances, screen individuals and belongings before boarding, and search for unauthorized materials or personnel. Use x-ray equipment to inspect items and transport pilots to destinations. Report suspicious activities and maintain security of cargo and equipment.

Requirements

  • Maintain working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures and regulations
  • Ability to walk and stand on a frequent basis
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Cooperate with manager/supervisor to comply with legal requirements
  • Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences
  • Carry out work in accordance with provided training and security procedures
  • Fully understand AGI Health & Safety and Security policies

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain controlled access of the aircraft entrance and its surroundings
  • Screen individuals and their belongings prior to aircraft boarding or airport operation area entry
  • Search aircraft for unauthorized material and/or personnel
  • Transport pilots to and from the aircraft to their destinations
  • Inspect items using x-ray viewing equipment to determine whether items contain objects that warrant further investigation
  • Report all suspicious items or activity to management
  • Maintain security of cargo and any company equipment
  • Complete all training when required by company, airport governing authority, or customer
