Security Officer

Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Security, this position ensures the safety and protection of team members, guests, the facility, and company assets. It contributes to a safe and welcoming work environment while adhering to company policies and procedures. The role motivates and leads by example in supporting Great Canadian's learning environment.

Security Officers monitor, document, and report violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons or activities. They enforce restricted access, conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior areas, escort cash equivalents, guests, and team members as directed. Identification checks, crowd control, and referring disputes to supervisors are key daily tasks.

In a regular casino environment, the role involves standing and walking for long periods with non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Officers liaise effectively with operational departments, build strong relationships with guests and team members, and ensure compliance with licensing laws and regulations. Electronic surveillance of non-gaming areas may also be performed.
