Cologix is seeking a Security Manager to lead physical security operations across multiple data center facilities within the Columbus market. This role ensures a secure, compliant, and audit-ready environment across all sites.

The Security Manager leads site-level personnel, including Lead Security Officers and contract guard services, driving consistent execution of access control, incident response, and security procedures. Oversee day-to-day security operations, define access control standards including badging and visitor escort requirements, and maintain accurate auditable records. Partner with Operations during site-impacting or safety-related events.

Manage contract security providers, oversee access control, CCTV, and alarm systems, and coordinate maintenance with Infrastructure teams. Work cross-functionally with Operations, Infrastructure, and enterprise security and compliance teams. Represent site security operations in customer and executive engagements within a platform of 45+ data centers serving nearly 2,000 customers.

Ensure readiness for internal, customer, and regulatory audits including SOC 1, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 requirements. Identify gaps, implement improvements, and standardize practices across facilities to strengthen security posture. Lead and develop security personnel, promoting professionalism and operational discipline.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in physical security and data center operations
  • Strong operational leadership to scale consistent practices across multiple facilities
  • Experience leading site-level security personnel and contract guard services
  • Knowledge of SOC 1, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 compliance requirements
  • Ability to manage vendors and enforce security service levels
  • Proficiency in incident response, access control, and audit documentation
  • Presence to represent security operations in customer and executive engagements

  • Lead and develop Lead Security Officers and security personnel
