We seek experienced Security Officers for a high-profile role safeguarding Critical Infrastructure Data Centre.
The security team plays an important role in ensuring clients' data integrity is always maintained. As the first point of contact for visitors and contractors, you will deliver a professional and welcoming experience whilst upholding strict security protocols. This casual opportunity is at SSIA Level 4 in South East Melbourne with rotating 12-hour day and night shifts.
You will screen visitors and equipment, provide exemplary customer service with administrative tasks, and ensure adherence to all site security procedures, policies and access control requirements. Conduct regular patrols, respond to incidents, and communicate effectively via two-way radio following command-and-control procedures. Maintain a strong safety-first mindset and lead by example in compliance and professionalism.

Requirements
- Security Licence, Classification 1A (Unarmed Guarding) & 1E (Monitoring Centre Operator)
- Valid First Aid Certificate (3 years validity) with current CPR Certificate (1 year validity)
- Ability to clear an Australian Police Check
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Strong multi-tasking abilities
- Intermediate PC skills (MS Suite)
- Excellent observational skills
Responsibilities
- Screen visitors and equipment to and from the secure area
- Provide exemplary customer service with some administrative tasks
- Ensure adherence to all site security procedures, policies and access control requirements
- Identify and prevent prohibited items from being introduced to or removed from secure areas
- Issue, monitor and audit visitor and contractor security passes in line with site protocols
- Raise, update and manage access requests using client security systems and software
- Complete regular patrols of assigned areas and report hazards or incidents to the regional control room
- Respond to, escalate and document incidents with clear, accurate written reports and daily activity logs
