About this role
We are seeking a dedicated and accurate Explosives Detection Dog Handler to strengthen our security team. In this crucial role, you provide specialized explosives detection services within the aviation sector. You work according to Belgian and European aviation security regulations, contributing to the safety of passengers, personnel, and cargo at one of Europe's busiest airports.
Perform cargo controls and security assessments using both technical means and dog detection. Ensure the operational readiness of your detection dog through training, socialization, and professional care. Build a strong and positive bond with your assigned dog.
Accurately document controls, incidents, and operational activities. Professionally handle customer questions and ensure correct follow-up. Comply with all safety regulations, procedures, and quality standards while immediately reporting incidents transparently.
Operate in a professional environment emphasizing quality and animal welfare as a team player. Demonstrate flexibility for shifts and on-call duties in a security-sensitive setting. Actively contribute to the organization's professional image and reputation.

Requirements
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Willing and able to house detection dog suitably and safely
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Sharp observation skills and eye for detail

- Reliable, integer, and handle confidential information
- Flexible for shifts and on-call basis
