About this role

The Security Supervisor maintains a safe and secure environment for customers and employees. Assists the Security Manager with scheduling, training, and evaluation of security staff. Performance is essential for the casino to provide a superior entertainment experience for guests.

Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws, gaming regulations, mission statement, and established policies. Assists Security Manager with disciplining, performance appraisals, and addressing employee issues. Handles problems or grievances from employees and guests, capable of making critical decisions while following the chain of command.

Works with investigators to conduct internal investigations involving employees and customers. Supervises personnel in their day-to-day activities. Assists in assuring compliance with Tribal, State, and Federal Internal Controls through constant review and updates.

Regularly communicates with coworkers and guests, operates computer, office equipment, and handheld radio. Exposed to flashing lights, varying noise levels, smoke-filled environment, and constant surveillance. Willing to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and face weather extremes from below 32 to over 100 degrees.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency including Home School Certificate
  • Or three years related experience and/or training
  • Stable employment history
  • Capable of making critical decisions
  • Follow prescribed chain of command
  • Communicate and exchange information with coworkers and guests
  • Operate computer, office equipment, and handheld radio
  • Able and willing to work evenings, weekends, holidays in smoke-filled environment
