The Operations Manager is responsible for staffing, scheduling and processing payroll for all Security Professionals within assigned client sites in the Division or Branch. This role maintains regular communications with Security Professionals, resolving issues regarding pay, morale or complaints. It manages overtime through effective scheduling and timely, qualified hiring decisions.
Daily tasks include creating and managing post schedules in WinTeam to ensure adequate coverage, running bi-weekly payroll, and conducting audits of timekeeping records. The manager handles disciplinary actions, coaching, and terminations while acting as a company representative in hearings and meetings. A qualified pool of rovers supports backfill for vacant positions.
To ensure success, Allied Universal provides a comprehensive, week-long management onboarding course with best practices, tools and guidance. This prepares the Operations Manager to support client sites effectively. The role emphasizes proactive issue resolution and contract compliance in a security-focused environment.
Requirements
- Experience staffing and scheduling Security Professionals for client sites
- Proficiency managing schedules and payroll in WinTeam software
- Knowledge of security contract staffing requirements and overtime management
- Ability to interview, hire, and evaluate low-performing security employees
- Skill in processing bi-weekly payroll and resolving timekeeping discrepancies
- Familiarity with company policies on timekeeping, meal and rest breaks
- Experience conducting disciplinary actions, coaching, and terminations
- Capability to represent company in hearings, depositions, and agency activities
Responsibilities
- Interview and hire qualified applicants to fill open post positions proactively and timely, following company guidelines
- Make initial job offers and job transfers using company forms, maintaining weekly Open Post List
- Create, modify and manage post schedules in WinTeam to ensure adequate coverage at all times
- Staff all positions according to contract requirements and manage branch overtime through proper scheduling
- Receive weekly time-sheets, run bi-weekly payroll, and resolve payroll discrepancies timely
- Conduct disciplinary and counseling sessions with Security Professionals, documenting issues per company standards
- Initiate and execute termination procedures for voluntary and involuntary separations
- Process requests for final paychecks, bonuses, and represent company in unemployment or workers’ compensation hearings
