About this role

In this role, you will lead Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) Operations program across one of the Google campuses. You will be responsible for all aspects of physical security on a designated campus. Work with internal and external partners to maintain and enhance security and safety.

Coordinate physical security including security services, access control and CCTV systems, site surveys, risk/threat assessments, on-campus investigations, protective services, travel safety, event security and EHS programs. Supervise employees and contractors performing security and safety objectives. Monitor vendor performance and expenses.

Collaborate with GSRS teams and cross-functional groups like HR and Legal, plus external emergency services related to campus security. From keeping Googlers safe to managing disruptive events, anticipate, deter, detect, and act as pillars of GSRS. Develop a culture integrating safety, security and resiliency into every facet of Google.

Identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks affecting business activities. Provide business leaders information for critical decisions. Create innovative strategies and programs driving sustainable effectiveness.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
5 years of experience in managing security operations within a multinational corporation, managing law enforcement operations, or managing military security operations
Experience with security technologies including CCTV, access control, and incident management systems
Experience working with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services
Proven track record in managing security operations and security personnel and delivering high quality, customer-oriented security programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to multitask in a changing and ambiguous environment
Excellent judgment, discretion and diplomacy with high ethical standards and proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive information

Responsibilities

Own, manage, and develop overall campus security program
Oversee management and execution of site-specific security operations ranging from specialized in-house programs to traditional security services and vendor staff responding to emergencies
Develop and implement security standards, policies and practices
Oversee daily management of vendors providing security, training, protective services and risk assessment
Collaborate with GSRS teams, other Google groups (HR, Legal) and external emergency services related to campus security
Perform data analysis and benchmarking to support risk assessments and threat identification
Create and present travel briefings
Coordinate physical security, access control, CCTV systems, site surveys, investigations, protective services, travel safety, event security and EHS programs
